Liability and Assumption of Risk
By registering for, purchasing admission to, attending, or participating in Destination Pawadise, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
You attend and participate at your own risk. Destination Pawadise activities may involve ordinary risks associated with conventions, travel, crowds, hotels, physical activity, costumes, social events, and participation in scheduled or unscheduled activities. You are responsible for your own health, safety, personal property, and decisions while attending the event.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Destination Pawadise, its organizing entities (including Mario A. Rodriguez), affiliated organizations, officers, directors, staff, volunteers, agents, contractors, and representatives from claims, losses, damages, injuries, liabilities, or expenses arising from or related to your attendance, participation, use of event services, or use of Destination Pawadise websites or online services, except where such a waiver is prohibited by applicable law.
You also acknowledge that Destination Pawadise is not responsible for the acts or omissions of other attendees, venue operators, hotels, transportation providers, independent contractors, or other third parties.
Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any legal dispute or claim arising out of or relating to Destination Pawadise, event registration, attendance, participation, event operations, affiliated organizations, officers, or Destination Pawadise websites or online services shall first be addressed through good-faith efforts to resolve the matter informally.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree that it will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than through a lawsuit in court, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
By accepting these terms, you understand that you may be giving up certain rights associated with court proceedings, including the right to a jury trial.
Any arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the arbitration rules and procedures designated in Destination Pawadise’s registration terms or other applicable legal policies.
Nothing in this section is intended to waive any right or remedy that cannot legally be waived.
Registration for Destination Pawadise constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Code of Conduct
Destination Pawadise is an 18+ furry event built around community, creativity, and having a good time together. We want attendees, staff, volunteers, guests, venue employees, and members of the public to feel safe and respected while we are here.
By attending or participating in Destination Pawadise, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct, event rules, venue policies, and applicable law.
The Golden Rule
Be respectful, use good judgment, and do not make the event unsafe or miserable for other people.
Any behavior that significantly disrupts Destination Pawadise, creates a safety concern, causes serious or repeated discomfort to others, damages property, or harms our relationship with the venue or community may be addressed by staff even if it is not specifically listed below.
Not every possible situation can be written into a rulebook. When in doubt, be considerate and ask staff.
18+ Only
Destination Pawadise is strictly for adults 18 years of age or older.
There are no exceptions. Minors may not register, receive a badge, enter event-controlled spaces, or participate in official Destination Pawadise activities.
Anyone attempting to circumvent this policy will be trespassed from the event and banned from the convention WITHOUT refund.
Valid government-issued identification may be required at registration or badge pickup. Providing false information or fraudulent identification may result in denial of entry or removal from the event.
Badges and Access
Your badge or wristband is the sole property of Destination Pawadise for the duration of the convention, and afterwards belongs to you.
Wear or present your badge when required and follow access restrictions for event spaces and activities.
Attempting to bypass registration, use another person’s badge, or enter restricted areas may result in removal from the event.
Respect, Harassment, and Consent
Treat people like people.
Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, intimidation, fighting, physical assault, hate speech, targeted slurs, deliberate humiliation, and repeated unwanted contact are not welcome at Destination Pawadise.
If someone tells you no, stop, leave me alone, or otherwise makes it clear that they do not want an interaction, stop.
Ask before touching another person, their fursuit or costume, mobility equipment, belongings, or other personal property.
This includes hugging, scritching, grabbing tails or paws, picking someone up, physical play, posing closely for photos, and sexual or romantic contact.
A person’s clothing, costume, behavior, relationship status, or participation in adult programming is never automatic consent.
Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Public Conduct and Attire
Destination Pawadise is an adult event, but most of the event still takes place in shared public spaces.
Please keep public behavior appropriate for a convention and hotel environment.
Public sexual activity and nudity are not permitted in general event spaces. Public displays of affection should remain reasonable for the setting.
Creative clothing, costumes, fursuits, collars, harnesses, and similar accessories are welcome when worn appropriately. Clothing or accessories may not expose genitalia, create a serious safety hazard, or be used to restrain, threaten, or interfere with another person.
Staff may ask you to modify or remove something that is unsafe or clearly inappropriate for the space.
Fursuits and Costumes
Costumed attendees may have limited vision, hearing, or mobility.
Give them room to move, do not surprise or tackle them, and ask before touching their costume.
Fursuiters and other costumed attendees are also responsible for making sure their costume, props, tails, wings, or other accessories do not create unnecessary hazards.
Weapons, Props, and Unsafe Items
Actual weapons are not permitted in Destination Pawadise event space unless specifically authorized by law, the venue, and event management.
Props and costume accessories must be safe for crowded convention spaces.
Items such as realistic weapon replicas, functional blades, projectile devices, lasers, pyrotechnics, drones, and other potentially dangerous objects may be restricted or prohibited.
Destination Pawadise may inspect, peace-bond, restrict, or require removal of a prop or item.
Safety staff have final authority over whether an item may be carried in event space.
Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking, and Vaping
Follow all applicable laws and venue policies.
Illegal drugs and unauthorized controlled substances are prohibited.
Do not provide alcohol to anyone under the legal drinking age, and do not become so intoxicated that you create a safety problem, disrupt the event, damage property, or harass others.
Being intoxicated does not excuse misconduct.
Smoking and vaping are only permitted in areas where the venue and local law allow them.
Venue and Hotel Conduct
We are guests of our venue, and keeping a good relationship with that venue matters.
Treat hotel and venue employees with respect and follow their rules.
Do not damage property, vandalize, block exits or hallways, tamper with alarms or emergency equipment, create dangerous room parties, throw objects from balconies, enter restricted areas, or create excessive noise.
Private hotel rooms are still subject to hotel rules and applicable law.
Conduct outside the immediate convention space may still result in Destination Pawadise action when it affects attendees, event safety, the venue, or our ability to continue operating there.
Event Disruption
Do not deliberately interfere with panels, performances, dances, workshops, meetings, contests, or other programming.
That includes repeated shouting, heckling, loud media playback, blocking participants, or intentionally distracting presenters or attendees.
Normal audience participation is welcome. Disruption is not.
Keep hallways, doors, emergency exits, and traffic areas clear.
Photography and Recording
Photography and recording are generally allowed in public event areas unless signs, staff, venue rules, or the activity itself say otherwise.
Ask before taking posed or close-up photos when practical, and respect reasonable requests not to be photographed.
Do not use cameras or recording equipment to stalk, intimidate, embarrass, or harass someone.
Some panels, performances, adult programming, or special activities may prohibit photography or recording entirely.
Destination Pawadise may photograph or record public event activities for legitimate promotional, archival, or documentary purposes.
Privacy and Technology
Respect other people’s private information.
Doxxing, publishing private contact information, exposing private communications, or using personal information to threaten, stalk, or intimidate someone is prohibited.
Do not hack, disrupt networks, steal credentials, interfere with wireless systems, install malicious software, or use technology to interfere with Destination Pawadise, the venue, or another attendee.
Accessibility and Service Animals
Do not interfere with mobility devices, accessibility equipment, accessible entrances, or designated accessible spaces.
Service animals must be allowed to work without distraction. Do not pet, feed, or interact with a working service animal without permission.
Personal pets and other animals are subject to venue rules and applicable law.
Health and Safety
Take reasonable care of yourself and those around you.
Stay hydrated, eat, rest, and seek help when you need it.
Follow health, safety, evacuation, and emergency instructions from Destination Pawadise staff, venue personnel, security, or emergency responders.
Never block exits or tamper with alarms, extinguishers, sprinklers, or other emergency equipment.
Staff Authority
Destination Pawadise staff and volunteers are here to keep the event safe and running smoothly.
You are expected to follow reasonable instructions related to safety, access, event operations, venue rules, and this Code of Conduct.
Staff may ask you to change your behavior, leave an area, remove an unsafe item, show your badge, or leave the event.
If you disagree with a decision, follow the immediate instruction first and raise the issue through the appropriate event channel afterward.
Threatening, harassing, or retaliating against staff or volunteers is itself a violation of this Code.
Reporting Problems
If you experience or witness a serious problem, please report it to Destination Pawadise staff.

Helpful information includes what happened, where and when it happened, who was involved, and any witnesses or evidence you already have.
Do not put yourself in danger to gather evidence.
If there is an immediate threat to life or safety, contact emergency services first.
How Reports Are Handled
Destination Pawadise will make a reasonable effort to review reports fairly and respond based on the circumstances.
Staff may speak with the people involved, interview witnesses, review available evidence, consult the venue, restrict access while an issue is being handled, or contact security, emergency services, or law enforcement when appropriate.
Reports made in good faith will not be punished simply because an allegation cannot be confirmed.
Knowingly making a false report to harm someone may itself violate this Code.
Enforcement
Depending on the seriousness of a situation, Destination Pawadise may:
- Give a warning
- Require behavior to stop or change
- Remove someone from an activity or area
- Restrict access
- Require removal of an unsafe or prohibited item
- Revoke a badge or registration
- Remove someone from the venue
- Suspend or permanently ban someone from future events
- Trespass an individual or group
- Contact venue security, emergency services, or law enforcement to remove an individual and/or resolve an incident
Staff may consider the severity of the behavior, whether it was repeated, previous incidents, safety concerns, cooperation with staff, and the effect on other attendees or the venue.
Serious situations may result in immediate removal without a warning.
Final Word
No Code of Conduct can cover every possible situation.
Destination Pawadise reserves the right to address behavior that is clearly unsafe, disruptive, abusive, or harmful to the event even when there is not a perfectly matching rule above.
The standard is simple:
Respect people. Respect boundaries. Respect the venue. Follow staff instructions. Use good judgment.
Everyone puts time, money, energy, and trust into making Destination Pawadise happen.
Help us keep it somewhere people are excited to come back to.
Be safe. Be kind. Be respectful. Have fun.
Vendor Policy
The following rules apply to all Dealers:
To Vend at Destination Pawadise, Tax ID’s and relevant documentation must be submitted to the convention no later than 15 days prior to the event’s occurrence.
The Convention does not permit the sales of food items (excluding candy and other sealed items) in the Dealers’ Den or Artist Alley. Other than that, there are no restrictions on the sale of legal merchandise. We do, however, request that all merchandise be sci fi-, fan-, or furry-related. Items of an adult nature may be sold if and only if these items are not on public display.
All adult art must have genitalia (defined as female nipples or any detailing/definition of male and female groin areas) covered with stickers, Post-its, opaque tape, etc. Placing the covering on the plastic sleeve holding the print is acceptable. Items that are not suitable for minors must be kept separately from non-adult material. A tag or divider between “regular” and “adult” material in a binder is not sufficient. It is the responsibility of the Dealer to keep adult materials out of the hands and sight of anyone under 18 years of age and to ensure that these materials are discreetly handled when being viewed by a customer. Minors attending Destination Pawadise will have clearly identifiable badges, and all Dealers will be told how to recognize them. Destination Pawadise holds each Dealer responsible to ensure that minors are not permitted to view, handle, or be otherwise exposed to adult materials. Dealers who are repeatedly found to be displaying adult-oriented items in such a fashion that underage members can view them will be removed from the Dealers’ Den without refund.
Flashing/rotating lights, sound generators or other excessively annoying displays will not be permitted. The volume of video soundtracks or other audio must be kept low enough that they do not annoy customers or other dealers.
No pirated material of any sort will be allowed in the Dealers’ Den. Material that is otherwise unavailable in the United States will be decided upon on a case-by-case basis. A rough guideline: Tapes of cartoons that have fallen into the public domain are acceptable, but a home compilation of “Minerva Mink’s Greatest Hits” is not. Selling books, CDs, or any other item that includes work by another person from which full permission has not been obtained is strictly prohibited. If the material is questionable, the Dealers’ Den Lead will try to be reasonable, but the final decision will be up to the Dealers’ Den Lead. Works generated by AI means are not permitted for sale.
Due to the limited space behind tables, please restrict the number of people seated at any full table to two. Keep all items neatly piled under the table or as close to it as possible do not impede the passage of other Dealers behind the tables. Any items that are placed in the aisle in such a way that customer traffic is impeded will be removed by the Dealers’ Den Lead. Any person or group of people that is causing undue congestion will be politely asked to disperse.
There is to be no horseplay (or other animal play) in the Dealers’ Den. We do not want to see anyone trip and injure themself or someone else, or cause damage to someone’s merchandise. “If you break it, you bought it.” Destination Pawadise is not responsible for injuries, breakage or loss incurred by or caused by any dealer or member.
The Dealers’ Den Lead and/or volunteers reserve the right to refuse service to any person or entity. If anyone is disruptive, ignores the rules, or harasses other persons and is not amenable to correction,
Destination Pawadise will take the appropriate action, up to and including removal of the offender from the convention. This includes Dealers and friends as well as customers/members. If Destination Pawadise’s Team is forced to eject a Dealer or any other person due to violations of the rules, no refund will be given of any membership or table fees.
All decisions made by the Dealers’ Den Lead regarding appropriateness of display, merchandise, or conduct will be final. Decisions made by a Team member are subject to approval by the Dealers’ Den Lead it should be noted, however, that it is highly unlikely that the Dealers’ Den Lead will reverse a decision made by a Team member.
Destination Pawadise reserves the right to change, amend, or modify these rules without prior notice.
