For over 15 years members of the Southeast Florida furry and Therian communities have wished for a time and place to congregate to celebrate our subculture and shared interests.

In 2026 the furry groups of Northern Broward (PawadiseFurs, formerly Furcation) and West Palm Beach (West Palm Furs) joined both their convention event planning teams in a collaborative effort to bring a convention to the Southeastern Florida community.

A variety of concepts from the differing groups were brought by the diverse teams, as well as an examination of the history of this long fought endeavor.

“Destination Pawadise”, the first of this festival convention is a one day “mini-con” festival event established for the weekend of Halloween 2026 with one goal in mind. Establish the full convention and the organization that will sustain it.

Destination Pawadise 2026 will be hosted on Friday, October 30th at the Church of Perpetual Life Campus in Pompano Beach, Florida.
This is a private event for the furry, therian, otherkin, pup, and other transhuman communities.
The 2026 event is designed at a mini-con to raise founding funds for the convention organization, the community goal is a hotel venue by 2028.

Why do this? As our local population grows and the larger regional conventions in relatively distant points north grow more saturated, the anthropomorphic communities of the Miami Metropolitan Area, Naples, Florida Keys, and Palm Beaches remains underserved and in dire need of a large proper periodic safe fellowship space.
